The following amendments have been made in the guidelines of the scheme of Research Awards
for Xth Plan Period -
- Age Limit: The age limit has been increased from 45 years to 55 years.
- Professors are also brought under the ambit of the scheme. A provision has been made to provide extension of tenure in exceptional cases on the recommendations of the subject experts.
