1. Recognizing the fact that the utilization of building and infrastructure grants is severely hampered due to the cumbersome process for obtaining prior approval, it has been decided to simplify the process. Henceforth, such proposals in the in the
revised format given in the Annexure with necessary certification from the (Engineer of Govt. / Semi Govt. organization / Principal) be sent to the UGC Regional Offices for approval.
2. The procedure shall come into immediate effect. To the extent given above, the Guidelines for Development Grants to to the Universities and Colleges stand revised.
3. All Regional Offices are advised to inform the colleges accordingly and adopt the process as above in future.
