Status Regarding The Selection Of Colleges Under The Scheme " Colleges With Potential For Excellence" (CPE)

A lot of enquiries have been received by UGC both over telephone and through letters enquiring about the selection of colleges under CPE Scheme. it is hereby informed to all concerned that the proposals recommended by the Universities under the Scheme "Colleges with Potential for Excellence" are being evaluated on a scoring scale developed for the purpose. It is hoped that the process of evaluation and final selection of colleges under the above Scheme is expected to be completed by 3rd or 4th week of April, 2006. As soon as the final selection is made the names of the colleges finally selected shall be put on the website, as well as a communication to the colleges will be sent.

     Therefore, the colleges are requested to browse the UGC website from time to time for any information relating to the Scheme.
