The University Grants Commission proposed to create a National Graduate Student Repository and to device a Unique Number to each student in Higher Education in India. Accordingly UGC constituted an Expert Committee under the Convenorship of Dr. V.C. Kulandaiswamy. The Expert Committee has submitted its report .
UGC has initiated necessary steps for implementation of the recommendations of the Expert Committee. Further UGC invites proposals from the stake holders/Institutions who are undertaking such type of work to undertake UGC project on National Graduate Student Repository with a Unique Enrolment Number. The proposals may be sent to Dr. A.K. Parate Joint Secretary University Grants Commission Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg New Delhi. The last date for submission of proposals is 31st May 2006.
