It has been brought to the notice of UGC that some of the Universities are appointing retired teachers to the statutory and non-statutory bodies of the University. The matter has been examined by the UGC and it is decided that no retired teachers after the age of 62 years be appointed on any statutory or even non-statutory position, in Universities / Colleges.
