Recognition: The University established in the year 1969. The jurisdiction of the university extends to all over the country. It has the power to establish, maintain, recognize and incorporate or associate with institutions of higher learning.

Other Details: Promotion of inter-disciplinary studies and integrated courses in humanities, social sciences, sciences and technology. Internal Assessment of students is made throughout the year and 50% of weightage is assigned for the purpose. The university has semester system for undergraduate and Post graduate programmes of study.
