Based on the recommendations of the UGC and AICTE, the Ministry of HRD, Government of India has accorded NMIMS the Deemed University status on 13 January, 2003.

Other Details: Over a period of 23 years the Institute has become a premier Management Insitute amongst the B-Schools of India. NMIMS was the first Management Institute in Mumbai to the approved by All India Council for Technical Education. The Institute now offers various programmes in various disciplines.

Infrastructure Facilities: The Institute boast of the facilities to develop the intellectual needs of the students. It houses over 31,000 books, subscribes to over 200 Journals, over 400 audio-visuals related to management studies and also provides about 9 electronic databases to the students.
