Other Details: Established in 1983, with the noble idea, to provide professional education to women that could lead to their becoming self-reliant. The type of education offered emphasizes personality development and participation in community services.

Infrastructure Facilities: The University has sufficient infrastructure for post graduate teaching and research created with the grants sanctioned form time to time by the UGC, State Government, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and through Research projects sponsored by UGC, Ministry of Human Resources Development, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Bio-Technology, ICSSR, All India Council for Technical Education. International Projects and exchange programmes are funded by Association of Commonwealth Universities; Institute of Psychology, Germany; Loughbourugh University, U.K.; Rotary Club International; KELT project under ODA by British Council; World Bank; Canadian International Development Agency.

Co-curriculur Activities: The activities of National Service Scheme(NSS), Youth REd Cross Unit, Cultural Affairs, Ethical rejuvenation programmes, and students’ Union are in full swing throughout the year.
