Other Details: The school of Planning and Architecture is known the world over by its acronym, SPA. During a period of 60 years, 1941 to an autonomous institution(Since 1979), which is in status ‘ deemed to be a University’. Today SPA imparts education in all disciplines that deal with the physical development of human habitat. SPA is considered as a premier institution of its kind in the country and among the very few institutions in the world offering specialized education in design and development of human settlements in all its aspect. Every year more than 200 students graduate form the SPA and it is they, who have provided leadership in their respective professional fields not only in this country, but also abroad.
Infrastructure Facilities: The SPA has presently three campuses. Two campuses are for conducting classes and studios. The third one is hostel both for boys and girls. In addition, the SPA has acquired 20 acres of land near JNU. The SPA proposes to expand its programmers and research activities.
Other Amenities : Library,Laboratories, Computer Centres, Workshop Etc.
Co curriculur Activities: Indoor sports activities, inter-university sports meet, Students own programmes such as NASA (National Association of Students of Architecture), NOSPLAN(National Organisation of Students of Planning), UTOPIA,etc.
Student Support Services: Canteen , Rest rooms, Reprography, Indoor games, recreation centres, Periodical students cultural festivals, etc.
