Technology Description: New methods based on the first order, Bessel functions are developed for easy and efficient calculations of induced phase by external perturbations. The methods are generic in nature and hence can be applied to optical interferometry also. The application areas are in instrumentations, sensors, optics and photonics. The competitive advantages are: (i) This technique does not require any photo detector or circuitry (ii) Easy and efficient alternative to conventional methods of measurements of phase.
