Technology Description: The product requires an isolated word spoken through a microphone, which is digitized and stored for further data process. For each division and for each filter bank output 'Mean' and 'Standard Deviation' are computed. These patterns for the spoken word are stored in a dictionary file. The process is repeated for other spoken words and the dictionary is updated. The classification/recognition phase uses the nearest neighbor rule to recognize the unknown spoken words. This algorithm has a n-dimensional Euclidean Space as the Pattern Space. The application areas are telecom systems and networks, voice querying information systems, audio systems.
