Technology Description: The drug design is based on specific inhibition of proteins/enzymes, which are crucial in the survival, and virulence of mycobacteria. Small molecular weight ligands secreted by mycobacteria for absorption of metal from surroundings is used as carrier vectors for delivering the anti-bacterial drugs intracellularly, resulting in selective and effective antibacterial activities. The application area for this product is drug discovery program of pharmaceutical industry. The competitive advantages are: (i) Selective toxicity (ii) Enhanced activity (iii) Overcoming drug resistance problem.
